I am Math specialist, educator, and advocate for educational reform; with big dreams of changing the world!
In love with: My family, Yoga, ice cream, and my personal time. I’ve always been a cheerleader and a spokesperson for the underdog, the looked-over, and the underestimated.
I wasn’t always considered the “Expert” in my field, or the most charismatic person…
In fact, it was only a few years ago that I was in a classroom teaching over 120 students a day and not happy with what was going on around me. I thought that being a “good” teacher for my students was enough, but quickly realized that there is so much more to be done.
In 2018, I decided that I had had enough of the bureaucracy of the public education system, and the limiting beliefs that it upheld and started my own Educational Consulting Company IMUnique LLC. Not knowing how or what would come of it (I just didn’t sign my contract and hoped for the best!) I have
been blessed to be able to work with, develop, and present to educators about how to make a true impact on student's learning. Oh yeah, it doesn’t hurt that I make my own schedule, spend more time with my family, and am a lot more pleasant for my husband to deal with!
Presently…
I’m probably sitting on my deck, listening to the wind and staring off at the lake thinking of ways that I can help educators, parents, and disparate communities understand the power behind their own thoughts. Desperately seeking opportunities to help teachers create powerful, positive, and dynamic learning environments. Contemplating how to rid parents and students of math anxiety, and inspiring them to believe that they can achieve whatever they put their minds to.

Honestly, what ignites my passion, is when I can help people come to the realization that not only is Math attainable, it is a beautiful language that we ALL speak everyday in various forms. Seeing the wall that prevents people from thinking they have to be “born” with a math mind, shattered, is not only the beginning of being a great learner of math, but also a Segway to understanding that you can be great at ANYTHING!!!
